Her teacher didn’t find any of this amusing but since she’s usually such a quiet student, he lets her slide.
“John! Since you are so vocal today, let’s see you use that brain for something other than useless chatter. Solve this problem.”
Waving his hands in defeat, John in the fourth row tries to wave the teacher onto another student.
Nelly turned towards the window and her grey eyes narrowed in a piercing gaze. She tunes out the rest of the class’s antics.
